Pakistani players attended Shahid Afridi’s daughter's wedding ceremony in Karachi on Friday.
Skipper Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, Sarfaraz Ahmed, Imam ul Haq, Shan Masood, Hassan Ali, Aamir Jamal and Shaheen Shah Afridi were present at the wedding.
Former cricketers like Moin Khan, Arshad Khan, Mohammad Akram and Waqar Younis were also seen at the wedding.
Pakistani pacer Haris Rauf Valima's reception was also tonight but the players could not participate in the event as they were not allowed to travel to Rawalpindi due to bad weather.
However, Fakhar Zaman and Faheem Ashraf attended Rauf’s reception.
According to sources, Pakistan team management did not allow players to travel to Rawalpindi due to poor weather. The national team is scheduled to travel to Sri Lanka for the Test series on Saturday.
As per the initial plan, players were scheduled to travel to Rawalpindi from Karachi today in the evening and set to return in the afternoon on Saturday. But due to poor weather and rain forecast in the country following the monsoon season, the team management decided against taking any risk.
Pakistan team’s training camp concluded today at the National Stadium, Karachi.
Pakistan will play two Tests against Sri Lanka later this month. It will be the first series of the national team in the third ICC Test Championship's cycle.
